In 2025, the focus will be on : better eating for better ageing !

The Agro'Nova area, in partnership with Foodtech France, brings together a range of solutions never seen before at CFIA Rennes. Practical, relevant solutions to help visitors meet the challenges of climate change, the economy and society, and make a success of your transition.

How does it work ?

The Foodtech France network, which is aimed at the agri-food sector, selects the most relevant companies to respond to the theme of Better eating for better ageing.

The 2025 theme: Eat Better to Age Better.

The accelerated aging of the global population presents significant challenges, especially regarding retirement, health, and autonomy.

By 2070, there will be more people over 65 than under 18.

In France, the over-65 demographic will reach 28% by 2050, and those over 85 will increase by 50% between 2030 and 2040.

Nutrition plays a key role in healthy aging, with specific needs such as protein intake (for sarcopenia), taste (flavor), softer textures, and senior-friendly packaging (easy to open, readable labels).

Here’s how the theme could unfold across several major categories of the food industry:

 

Ingredients & PAI

Natural ingredients without additives, tailored to seniors' nutritional needs, promoting a healthy diet.

Equipment & Processes :

Innovative machines that make food preparation simpler and safer for elderly individuals.

Packaging & Conditioning :

Labels with larger fonts and easy-to-open packaging for seniors.

Food Safety :

Solutions to ensure traceability and food safety—a priority for health-conscious consumers.

Artificial Intelligence:

Using AI to personalize senior nutrition based on their specific needs.
